JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant launched a new copper enrichment plant

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant (AGMK) recently commissioned its third copper enrichment plant. The project cost is $4.6 billion, and the production capacity reaches 60 million tons of ore per year. As a result, it is planned to produce 917 thousand tons of copper and 2.5 thousand tons of molybdenum concentrate annually. It is expected that with the full launch of the plant, 5,600 new jobs will be created. The project will not only increase the production capacity of AGMK, but will also make a significant contribution to the economic development of the region. Also, within the framework of the project, modern technologies have been introduced taking into account environmental safety, which will increase the competitiveness of the enterprise in the international market.
